Conference “Making an Impact Together”. The ICRC and the private sector: new forms of collaboration in the search for new and innovative solutions

The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), in collaboration with the IECAH, invites you to participate in the Conference:

Making an impact together.

The ICRC and the private sector: new forms of collaboration in the search for new and innovative solutions.

For more than 150 years, the ICRC has worked with governments, the private sector and other parties to help people affected by conflict or armed violence. By working together we can adapt faster, see complex risks more clearly, share and innovate and invest our resources wisely, while creating shared value for both parties.

Taught by Peter Maurer (President of the International Committee of the Red Cross)

Peter Maurer, President of the ICRC, will give a talk, in which he will explain the modalities of collaboration between the ICRC and the private sector, to improve the impact of humanitarian action in humanitarian contexts. Likewise, two of its partners in Spain: La Caixa Foundation and the Vodafone Foundation will tell us about their experiences of collaboration with the ICRC and the Spanish Red Cross respectively. Finally there will be question time to give the opportunity to clarify doubts, concerns and / or make contributions.
