ACTIVATE

TECSOS participates in the European ACTIVAGE project together with dozens of partners to test the interoperability of different solutions aimed at solving problems of the aging population.

The Social Technologies Foundation, TECSOS, participated in the European project ACTIVAGE for 3 and a half years until 2020. This initiative involved more than 50 partners from different European countries, both from the industrial and research fields, as well as social organizations and entities and public administrations.

During the development of the Project, 9 different pilots were carried out throughout the European territory to test the interoperability of different technological solutions aimed at solving specific problems in the elderly population.

The work of TECSOS together with the Red Cross, the Vodafone Foundation, Televes and the Galician Health Service has been the start-up of a pilot in the area of ​​Galicia in which 700 users have participated, contributing to the validation, integration and interoperability of a advanced telecare service.

The ACTIVAGE Project had the objective of facing the challenge of the aging of the population through solutions that involve the use of the Internet of Things, a concept based on digital interconnection that, in this case, will allow people to be empowered elderly and having an active social life, as well as reducing the negative impact of chronic disorders and cognitive decline.
