Social Innovation Network

WHAT IS THE GOAL?

RED Social Innovation is an international resource center dedicated to social innovation. Supported by the French Red Cross and the Spanish Red Cross, its objective is to test, scale, and promote social innovations created and developed within the organization. International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, as well as those produced by public and private actors.

WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF?

The Spanish Red Cross, through its Social Technologies Foundation (TECSOS), and the French Red Cross, through its Social Innovation Accelerator (21), have been committed for many years to transforming their social impact through social and technological innovation. RED Social Innovation is an extension of this approach on an international scale.

In addition to the French Red Cross and the Spanish Red Cross, the partners of Social Innovation Network are the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and the Solferino Academy of the Movement.

The objectives of RED Social Innovation are:

1. Share good practices of social transformation and innovation with the largest number of people to be better prepared for future socio-economic changes.
2. Ease the transfer of knowledge between innovative National Societies and those that need support.
3. Support open and inclusive innovation through the exchange of methodologies, solutions, and results.
4. Create synergies between associations, other actors within the Social and Solidarity Economy, and the private sector.

To achieve this, RED Social Innovation offers:

1. Technical specifications These articles present innovative solutions in the social, medical-social, and healthcare fields. They are available in three languages: French, Spanish, and English.
2. A monthly newsletter customizable, offering a selection of the platform's best posts.
3. An annual publication which contains the most innovative solutions developed within the Movement.

WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS?

In collaboration with Stanford Social Innovation Review and the network of social entrepreneurs Ashoka, Social Innovation Network launches “45 Minutes,” a series of events to discover impactful solutions to the world’s most pressing problems.
