TECSOS participates, with the Orientatech project, in the Ministerial Conference organized by the UN in Lisbon.

The conference, which is held on September 21 and 22,  will develop under the motto of “A sustainable society for all ages: understanding the potential to live longer”. The objective of this conference will be to bring together the responsible ministers of the 56 Member States of UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) as well as the United Nations, the European Commission and the World Labor Organization, to respond to the opportunities and challenges of the aging of the population in the twenty-first century and promote the development of a society for all ages. At the end of the meeting, the ministers and representatives of the UNECE countries will sign the Lisbon Declaration, which will set out the guidelines for the next five years in terms of ageing.

Within the scope of the conference, on September 20, a meeting will be held that will bring together 150 NGOs and 80 researchers, in which two other declarations will be adopted to present to the ministers. It will be within this framework that the TECSOS Foundation will collaborate, showing orienttech as an initiative to face the challenge of aging.

orienttech, aims to offer a detailed analysis of technology products that meet the needs of society, making special firmness in the group of older people. The presence in Lisbon will be through a Poster in the exhibition area that will be kept at the conference.
