This publication compiles the recommendations and strategies derived from the TELPES research project, tested in the real-world setting of the homes of 20 users from different autonomous communities. It also includes a DVD in Spanish Sign Language.
TELPES is an initiative whose mission is to identify the types of telecare devices needed by deaf older adults, verify their effectiveness in providing home support services, and analyze the most suitable technologies for their development. In this way, this group could benefit from a solution tailored to their communication needs, improving their personal autonomy and social participation.
